Choosing the Right Support

OGA-certified practitioners are trained to provide Orton-Gillingham instruction to individuals. Their level of certification reflects their training and experience.

• Associate: Trained to provide Orton-Gillingham instruction to struggling readers of all ages, including individuals with dyslexia. Associate level practitioners practice under the supervision of an OGA Fellow.
• Clinical: Advanced training to work with learners of all ages, including those with dyslexia and more complex learning needs. Clinical practitioners are qualified to practice independently.
• Fellow: Experienced Clinical practitioners who are also certified to train and mentor future Orton-Gillingham practitioners.

Please note: Classroom Educator certification is designed for educators working with groups and classrooms and does not prepare practitioners to provide individual instruction.
